If they\u2019re also classical music devotees, bonus points to you for finding this story about an aging cellist in the City of Light who really makes crime pay.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Jive-Talking Rap Music Lovers<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vweisfeld.com\/?p=7349\">Righteous<\/a><\/em> or any of the other I.Q. books by Joe Ide. His characters\u2019 language unspools across the page in pure urban poetry, as they solve crimes and right wrongs.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Unrepentant Bookworms<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 a book they can burrow into for days and maybe never sort out all the plot shenanigans, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vweisfeld.com\/?p=7558\">Lost Empress<\/a><\/em> is about football, Rikers\u2019 Island, a missing Salvador Dali painting, a man and his mom, transcribing 911 calls, Paterson, New Jersey, and so much, much more.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Armchair Psychologists<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 OK, does he have dementia or doesn\u2019t he? Grace may not live long enough to find out on a Texas road trip with the elderly man she believes murdered her sister. <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vweisfeld.com\/?p=7300\">Paper Ghosts<\/a><\/em> is nice work from Julia Heaberlin.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Inveterate Classicists<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 David Hewson\u2019s <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vweisfeld.com\/?p=7423\">Juliet &amp; Romeo<\/a><\/em> is another in his fine adaptations of Shakespeare\u2019s plays. Always inventive, always interesting. His <em>Macbeth<\/em> and <em>Hamlet <\/em>were winners too.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Road Warriors<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vweisfeld.com\/?p=7447\">She Rides Shotgun<\/a><\/em> is Jordan Harper\u2019s award-winning debut thriller about a man and his young daughter on the run. They won\u2019t be able to turn the pages fast enough.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Fairy Tale Fans<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 True, they may be startled at the liberties Karen Dionne took with Hans Christian Anderson\u2019s tale, but in <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vweisfeld.com\/?p=7290\">The Marsh King\u2019s Daughter<\/a>, <\/em>she\u2019s created a compelling story of a girl raised off the grid and what it takes for her to build a conventional life. Can she keep it?<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Anyone Who Just Likes a Damn Good Book<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 You should get a twofer for Philip Kerr\u2019s book <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.vweisfeld.com\/?p=7290\">Prussian Blue<\/a><\/em>, which does a deep dive into both the dark days of the Third Reich and early 1950s France.
